Culture is everywhere in Anduze and the surrounding area. The area has been inhabited for thousands of years, and the Romans also quickly discovered the Gard region's climate and opportunities for agriculture and craftsmanship. The many monuments of the Roman era find their sublime expression in the Pont Du Gard viaduct, which is on the UNESCO World Heritage List, and you understand that when you stand in front of it. Nîmes and Arles, both within an hour's drive of Anduze, feature some of the best-preserved Roman monuments in the world, with the arena of Nîmes being the most magnificent. In that company, Anduze can contribute with its vase art, and the Anduze vases are known throughout Europe as an expression of the finest craftsmanship. There are a total of 7 larger vase sales shops in Anduze and the surrounding area which are definitely worth a visit.
There are a number of museums in the vicinity of Anduze, of which the exciting regional museum "La maison Rouge" in Saint Jean du Gard should be mentioned in particular. In the town of Alès is home to the Museum of Ancient Art, and in Nîmes there are museums for every taste, from ancient art from Roman times to the exciting city museum.

"La bambouserie" is a botanical garden 2 km. from Anduze, which is visited annually by over 300,000 people. In the garden you can experience bamboo in all its forms, flowering shrubs in meters and even a replica of a Laotian village. The most atmospheric part of the garden is undoubtedly "La vallée du dragon", which is a Japanese-inspired Zen garden that will blow away all visitors.

A trip with the local steam locomotive "Vapeur de Cevennes" is also a beautiful experience, where you drive through beautiful landscapes to the sound of the train's soft rumble and honk.
